PERMA-PIPE MIDDLE EAST (FZE) was incorporated in July, 2005 in the Fujairah Free Zone as a 100% owned subsidiary of PERMA-PIPE Inc. in the United States.

PERMA-PIPE INC. is wholly owned subsidiary of MFRI, Inc. MFRI is a NASDAQ publicly traded company under the symbol MFRI.

PERMA-PIPE, Inc. entered the prefabricated piping market in 1961 to serve the specialty piping requirements of the district heating and cooling industry in North America . Since then we have grown to become the largest manufacturer of pre-insulated piping systems in North America and an international market leader.

We also manufacture secondary containment piping for environmental applications as well as oil and gas piping utilized for transfer line in deep-sea oil line for the purpose of flow assurance.

In September 1994, PERMA-PIPE acquired RICWIL Piping Systems. RICWIL had been known as a brand-name leader in the pre-insulated piping industry for more than 84 years. The acquisition merged years of design expertise and proven products to meet our customers' needs. PERMA-PIPE continues to offer the entire RICWIL product line.

Our largest manufacturing facility is located on 25 acres near Nashville , Tennessee . At this plant, PERMA-PIPE's skilled work force takes special care to provide systems of the highest quality, fabricated to job-specific requirements and specifications.

PERMA-PIPE is an engineering company. We specialize in designing and manufacturing complete insulated piping systems to meet the specific requirements of the District Cooling and Oil & Gas industries.

	Highlights

	1965
	Received Tri-Service Letter of Acceptability for our Class A heat distribution system, ESCON-A

	1969
	Opened manufacturing facilities in Lebanon, Tennessee . Our centrally located facility conveniently services the entire United States and all U.S. ports of call.

	1976
	Entered into licensing agreements with corporations in England and Japan . This introduced PERMA-PIPE quality and design to the international market.

	1979
	Received contract for King Khalid Military City in Saudi Arabia, launching PERMA-PIPE into the challenging Middle East markets.

	1982
	PermAlert leak detection and location was introduced to eliminate system failures from casing damage or faulty field connections.

	1994
	PERMA-PIPE became a public company, a subsidiary of MFRI, Inc. in January. The stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol "MFRI". PERMA-PIPE acquired RICWIL Piping Systems. This acquisition provides a complete line of piping systems for industry needs.

	2003
	Perma-Pipe is awarded the Al Dafra Air-force Base - Jet Fuel Pipeline Project in Abu Dhabi.

	2005
	Perma-Pipe Middle East decides to set-up production facilities in the Middle East.

	2006
	First deliveries taking place from May, 2006. Awarded the Qatargas II common sulphur project and the New Doha International Airport project(package 13)
